Blighthouse Studio Announcement

There’s lots of shenanigans coming your way, which is explained a little more in News Break episodes that are dropping on The Lucky Die, Counterbalance and Four Top Three's feeds over the next couple of days. Since big changes are coming , we wanted to write a post as well letting you know what we're upto.

So, here’s the big part:

TLD is becoming part of Blighthouse Studio; a production team currently consisting of members of the core cast of TLD.

Why?

By doing so, we are looking to bundle our resources more efficiently so we can bring you many new exciting projects in the future and help our smaller projects to be seen. It’s a way for us to be able to make real the projects we want to create, without having to start from scratch.

What projects will become part of the Blighthouse Studio?

- The Lucky Die
- Counterbalance
- Four Top Threes
- RealDragonsand Twitch Streams
- future projects already in the conception phase (yes, projects plural!)

What this means?

More shows covering a variety of show types - things we're passionate about. With TLD being essentially the biggest project of Blighthouse as of right now, we are going to continue using the Patreon of TLD as the basis for Blighthouse Studio going forward. It also means that the discord are getting 2 new channels!

And Patreon?

A few updates to each tier will be coming, to make them more applicable to our current and future shows. It also means that Patreon will now be supporting Counterbalance and Four Top Three’s as well as future shows. There will be bonus content from our various shows and A(e)MAs will be for all our shows. Not-A-Pete is going to be used for all sorts of things across Blighthouse Studios. The Merch Tiers as they are will stay the same (TLD logo free) until we can make merch tiers work as we want them to.

Bougrim's Backstory Released - Thank You

We finally did it!

Thanks to our Patrons, we hit a goal of writing a scripted audio drama all about Bougrim’s backstory.

Bougrim has had a troubled past, and in this episode, we learn about who his friends were, how Emmil Scott now owes him a favor and about the sad losses he has experienced. Long before he became the leader of the Fourfold, Bougrim had another job - a treasure hunter.

It’s taken us far longer than we had hoped, but we got through auditioning, recording, scoring, editing, soundscaping… and today we finally published our first ever scripted episode.

First for Volly having written, first for Neil having edited and a first for both of them having produced this.

We are very proud of what we have made, and we’re so, so thankful to everyone who has helped us along the way.

New Website, Who This?

So, our former website might have hit a big of a snag. There was a certificate….. and that’s where it ceases being interesting. What’s more interesting is that we have a shiny, easy to operate and filled with amazing art, new website. We even worked out how to embed players onto the webpages. Apart from that, the old website was only ever supposed to be temporary. Funny how temporary sometimes turns into permanent.

Like our new cast member! As some of you may have picked up, Eyþór is joining the Diskora crew as a permanent cast member as of episode 104. He is also joining us behind the scenes as master of coin, as well as helping out with Marketing and Advertising.

So part of updating the website was also to update the Press Kit to include new cast, new voice overs and the cast of Bougrim’s Backstory.

And that’s not all folks - we have a couple of big announcements coming that are really hard to keep under our hats.
